Tasting-Purple Paws Cabernet Sauvignon

Name: Purple Paws Cabernet Sauvignon

Variety: Cabernet Sauvignon

Region: Lodi, California

Country: United States

Year: Non-vintage

Price: $15

Shop’s Notes: If a Cabernet can be smooth and creamy, this one is. It offers plenty of fruit flavor, smooth tannins that coat the mouth in a good way, plus a plush texture that keeps it from being even a bit harsh. With light body, a soft mouthfeel and lingering finish, there’s much to like. -The Vintage Cellar

My Notes: Didn’t have a particularly strong smell. The smell was kind of earthy. Upon tasting, I found it overly earthy and kind of foody. To be honest, it kind of tasted like some cheese I had at some point and I think it might have been the cheese rind which I don’t find generally enjoyable. Didn’t like it at all.

Did not have with food.
