Name: Codirosso Chianti
Variety: “5–100% Sangiovese, up to 10% Canaiolo and up to 20% of any other approved red grape variety such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot or Syrah” is what I found on the internet
Region: Tuscany
Country: Italy
Year: 2014
Price: $13
Shop Notes: Ruby red color with purple reflections. Intense vinous bouquet with hints of violets and dark cherry fruit. The flavor is full of ripe fruit and a hint of spice. It is well balanced and dry. The finish is persistent and satisfying.
My Notes: I kind of thought it smelled sweet as in maybe grapes (duh but not duh) and maybe apple. I thought the taste was very much like berries.
I did not have this with food.
