Tasting- Dona Sol Sweet Red Table Wine

Name: Dona Sol Sweet Red Table Wine

Variety: Shiraz, Petite Sirah, and Symphony

Region: California

Country: USA

Year: Non-vintage

Price: $7

Shop Notes: Shiraz has a unique jammy fruit character that is well represented in the Sweet Red. Both on the nose and on the palate, jammy fruit, like strawberries, cherry pie and red licorice, entices the senses and pair well with cheeses and desserts.

My Notes: The nose was full of spice, earth, and asparagus but it was also sweet. I thought the body was very warm and thick at first, almost like chocolate. I also noticed maybe cherry, like the kind you get from medicine, but it wasn’t unpleasant. I personally thought it barely tasted like wine.

I did not have this with food.
